Christchurch Earthquake Appeal 2011 RAFFLE

JanMaree_Kaimanawa_Horse_Muster_10.jpg

My heart goes out to all those who were affected by the Christchurch Quake and the huge effort it will take to rebuild lives and homes.  Everyone is struggling to some extent at the moment, but I think to myself "Imagine if I was in the position I am now trying to pay off a mortgage, run a business and raise young children, AND I suddenly didn't have my home or a job or was having to deal with the loss of a friend or family member.  We are the lucky ones."  Don't stop giving to Christchurch - they are still living with the consequences.

First Prize:   Mounted Canvas of Kaimanawa Wild Horses, 32 in x 21 in, valued at $2,500.00 ... a silver halide print with the emulsion peeled off the back of the print and bonded to museum quality canvas, laminated and mounted by Queensberry
Winner: Rhiannon Leigh from Lynfield, bought her ticket at Custom Threadz in Pukekohe

Second Prize:    Portrait Sitting with Jan Maree, 10x14 print framed by Elise, valued at $997.00
Winner: Karen and Jessica Barr from Waiau Pa, ticket bought at ArtRageous in Patumahoe

Bonus Draw:  Any body who sells a full book of tickets, or purchases a whole book of 10 tickets will go into a second draw for a Jan Maree Portrait Sitting and 10x14 Queensberry print valued at $867.00.
Winner: Michelle from The Art Gallery in Waiuku, who sold four books

JMV_Christchurch_Raffle_Kaimanawa_1.jpgPukekohe Community Constable Nick Richards draws the winning tickets from Jan Maree at the Franklin Hospice Shop, while Nick's son looks on.

Thanks to sponsors, and those who helped to sell the tickets....

We raised $2120.00 for the Red Cross 2011 Earthquake Appeal.
